Apart from its founder and leader William Christie, no one but the Scottish tenor and conductor Paul Agnew is allowed to conduct the masterful ensemble 'Les Arts Florissants'. In his two functions, Agnew has confirmed himself as one the leading interpreters of ancient music. He will perform Monteverdi’s Third Madrigal Book (1562) with his typically Italian sense of melody, both dramatic and exuberant.
