"Bach trifft Buxtehude" mit Francesco Tristano & Daniel Künzi

In the year 1705, the then still unknown Johann Sebastian Bach met Dieterich Buxtehude whose work was as pioneering for Europa at the baroque era as for Bach himself. How the music of the now almost forgotten master influenced the young Bach was revealed by the Swiss film maker Daniel Künzi in an illuminating documentary, with the participation of the internationally renowned pianist Francesco Tristano.
The TRIFOLION is exclusively presenting the Luxembourg premiere of the film in the presence of the Luxembourg pianist Francesco Tristano and the director himself. After the film sequences, both guests will examine the influence Buxtehude had on Bach’s creativity in a panel discussion. Later on, Francesco Tristano will present a concert of rarely heard and selected works by Buxtehude and Bach, live at the TRIFOLION… and Bach meets Buxtehude.
