Piano day for young and old: in the afternoon, master piano maker Marcus Hübner explains the inner workings of the piano and guides young people through the fascinating history of keyboard instruments. Afterwards, the performance by the students of the Echternach School of Music with contributions from different age groups gets the entire family in the right mood for the highlight: in the evening, the stage is taken by Simon Grisdale and Robin Stephenson. They are both amateur musicians who won the most important international competition for amateur pianists in Paris last year and who, in practical terms, “upstage” many professional pianists.
